Tight Shut Off Ball Valve

Tight shut off ball valves are types of ball valves that achieve zero leakage through a forced sealing mechanism and are suitable for high pressure, corrosive media or strict leakage prevention scenarios (e.g. hydrogen, natural gas transmission). Its core sealing characteristics include:

Mechanical wedge-tight sealing: the valve stem exerts mechanical pressure on the ball through the bevelled or helical groove design during closing to achieve high specific pressure sealing (sealing class VI);
Frictionless operation: the ball and seat are out of contact during opening and closing to avoid wear and tear of the sealing surface and prolong service life;
Bi-directional sealing: some models support bi-directional pressure, adapting to the scene of changing media flow direction.
Selection and installation specifications
Seal type selection:
High-temperature and high-pressure working conditions preferred metal hard seal (Class 2500), corrosive media selection of soft seal;
Drive mode matching:
Manual operation is suitable for small devices, automation scenarios configure electric/pneumatic actuators;
Installation requirements:
The valve stem should be installed vertically to avoid uneven sealing surface force caused by partial load;
Containing solid particles of media need to configure the pre-filter, reduce the risk of sealing surface abrasion
