pipeline ball valve Description
Pipeline ball valve is a valve with a ball with a circular through hole as the core opening and closing part. It can realize the on-off control of the pipeline medium by rotating 90°. It is widely used in gas, petroleum, chemical and other fluid transportation systems.
Core components:
Ball: Stainless steel or carbon steel, surface coating enhances corrosion resistance, fully open when the through hole is aligned with the pipeline;
Valve seat seal: floating or fixed design, using PTFE soft seal or metal hard seal, leakage rate ≤ ISO 5208 Class B standard;
Drive mode: manual (worm gear), pneumatic (0.05 second quick cut-off) or electric (remote control).
Core functions
Fast opening and closing: The switch action can be completed by rotating 90°. The response time of the pneumatic model is ≤0.05 seconds, which is suitable for emergency shut-off scenarios;
Low flow resistance design: When fully open, the flow channel is equal to the pipe diameter, and the fluid resistance is only 1/3 of that of the butterfly valve, reducing pressure loss;
Corrosion resistance: The stainless steel valve body and fluorine-lined valve seat can withstand corrosive media such as hydrogen sulfide, acid and alkali.

Selection points
Pressure level:
For low-pressure scenarios (≤1.6 MPa), select PTFE soft-seal ball valves, and for high-pressure conditions (Class 600+), select metal hard-seal structures;
Media adaptability:
Gas pipelines require anti-static design, and V-type ball valves (flow adjustment) are preferred for medium containing particles;
Installation requirements:
When installed horizontally, the valve stem is vertically upward, and the flange centering deviation is ≤0.5 mm to avoid uneven force on the sealing surface.
