Flanged Ball Check Valve Description

 

The flange ball check valve is an automatic valve that achieves one-way sealing by rolling the spherical valve disc (rubber-coated metal core or all-steel). It uses the forward flow pressure of the medium to push the ball open, and the ball returns to block the backflow during reverse flow. It is suitable for working conditions with high impurities or viscous media such as water, slurry, and sewage.

Selection and maintenance recommendations

Selection points:
Media matching: For fluids containing hard particles, all-steel balls or rubber-lined valve bodies are preferred. For corrosive media, stainless steel 316L is selected;
Installation direction: For vertical installation, ensure that the medium flows from bottom to top. For horizontal installation, reserve space for the ball to move.
Maintenance specifications: Check the ball wear (rubber layer thickness <1.5mm needs to be replaced) and the cleanliness of the sealing surface every 6 months;
For long-term out of use, the medium needs to be emptied, and the valve needs to be opened and closed manually 3 to 5 times to prevent adhesion.
