Description
The on-off ball valve is a valve with the core function of 90° rotation opening and closing. The center of the ball is equipped with a circular through hole, which controls the on and off of the fluid by rotation. Unlike the regulating ball valve, it is designed for full opening/full closing, suitable for scenarios where the medium needs to be quickly cut off or conducted, and especially emphasizes the zero leakage sealing and low pressure loss characteristics.
Operation principle
Structural composition
Ball: a spherical core component with a through hole, mostly made of stainless steel or alloy, corrosion-resistant and adaptable to high pressure;
Valve seat and sealing ring: polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or metal material to ensure no medium leakage when closed;
Valve stem and actuator: connect the handle or pneumatic/electric device to drive the ball to rotate.
Working process
Open: rotate the handle or actuator 90° to align the ball through hole with the pipeline, and the medium flows unimpeded;
Close: reverse rotation 90°, the ball through hole is perpendicular to the pipeline, and the fluid is completely cut off.
