Motorized 2-Way Ball Valves Description
Motorized two-way ball valve consists of an electric actuator and a ball valve body. The motorized actuator drives the ball to rotate to achieve remote on/off control of pipeline media. It is suitable for HVAC, industrial automation and other scenarios.
The valve body material is mainly brass or stainless steel, and the sealing material is commonly fluororubber and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) to ensure corrosion resistance and long-term sealing.
Design features
The motorized actuator supports manual operation (such as levers or knobs) and automatic control. Some models have built-in spring reset function, which can automatically close the valve when the power is off to avoid system failure.
The ball valve structure has the advantages of low flow resistance and high sealing, and is suitable for on/off control of media such as water and gas.
Working principle
Control mechanism
The motorized actuator receives the electrical signal from the thermostat or control system, drives the ball to rotate 90°, switches the valve to fully open or fully closed, and thus controls the flow or blocking of the medium. Some high-end models (such as Honeywell products) can achieve precise control of water flow size by adjusting the ball opening, thereby adjusting the water temperature.
Operation mode
Automatic mode : The controller sends instructions, and the actuator drives the ball valve to complete the switching action;
Manual mode : Temporary operation through the manual device on the actuator, suitable for debugging or power failure scenarios

Motorized 2-Way Ball Valves
Performance advantages
High sealing: The ball fits tightly with the valve seat, with low leakage rate, meeting strict working conditions; Corrosion resistance: Brass or stainless steel valve bodies can withstand water, steam and weakly corrosive media for a long time.
Function expansion
Some models support linkage with proportional integral controllers to achieve continuous flow adjustment (special actuators are required).
Applications
HVAC system: used for fan coil water circulation control, adjusting hot and cold water on and off, and cooperating with thermostats to achieve automatic indoor temperature adjustment; Industrial pipelines: remotely control the flow of media in chemical, energy and other fields, replacing traditional manual valves.
Installation requirements
Preferentially install in the return pipe to reduce water resistance, and the valve body needs to be insulated to prevent condensation water
