Ball Valve Wafer Type

Wafer ball valve is an industrial valve that controls the flow of fluid by rotating the ball. Its core consists of a spherical valve core and a valve body.

Working principle: When the ball rotates 90°, the ball channel is aligned with the valve body channel to achieve full opening, and it is completely closed when it rotates to the vertical position;

Structural features:

Wafer connection: It is clamped and fixed by two pipe flanges, without additional bolts, with a compact structure and light weight;

Sealing design: PTFE or metal valve seat is used, the leakage rate meets ISO 5208 standards, and is suitable for high pressure (PN1.0~2.5MPa) and high temperature (up to 300℃) working conditions.

Applications
Chemical and petrochemical: Control acid and alkali media, corrosive fluids, suitable for 316L stainless steel valve body and PTFE seals;
Electricity and energy: High-temperature steam pipeline cut-off, pressure resistance level can reach Class 300;
Food and pharmaceutical: Sanitary polishing (Ra≤0.4μm), meet aseptic filling requirements;
Environmental protection and sewage treatment: Slurry, wastewater flow regulation, anti-clogging design.

Selection and maintenance points
Selection parameters
Pressure level: Conventional adaptation PN1.0~2.5MPa, metal hard seal is selected for high-pressure scenes;
Media compatibility: Corrosive media need to select corrosion-resistant alloy (such as Hastelloy) valve body;
Drive mode: Manual (handwheel), pneumatic or electric, selected according to the operating frequency. ‌Maintenance Specifications‌
‌Installation requirements‌: Flange centering deviation ≤0.5mm to avoid uneven force on the sealing surface;
‌Seal maintenance‌: Check the valve seat wear every 6 months, and regularly add grease under high temperature conditions;
‌Leakage detection‌: Use 0.6MPa air pressure to maintain pressure test, and the leakage amount ≤100ppm is qualified.
