Sleeve Type Plug Valve

Sleeve-type plug valve is a type of plug valve. Its core structure is a plunger-shaped plug with a through hole. By rotating 90°, the channel on the valve plug is aligned or misaligned with the valve body channel to achieve fluid on-off control.

‌Sleeve design‌: A sleeve structure is added inside the valve body. The sleeve and the valve plug are sealed by precise fit (such as interference fit or elastic material filling) to reduce direct contact of the medium with the valve body.
‌Drive mode‌: Supports manual worm gear, pneumatic or electric actuators, suitable for high-frequency operation scenarios.
‌Working principle‌
‌Open state‌: The valve plug rotates 90°, the sleeve is aligned with the valve body channel, and the fluid passes in a straight line with minimal resistance. ‌Closed state‌: The valve plug rotates until the sleeve completely blocks the channel, and two-way cutoff is achieved through the sealing surface between the sleeve and the valve plug (such as polytetrafluoroethylene or metal material).

Technical features ‌

Sealing performance ‌: ‌Non-metallic elastic sleeves ‌ (such as PTFE) or ‌metal hard seals ‌ are used to support leakage level ANSI B16.104 Class VI (zero leakage) ‌. ‌Some models inject grease through the oil groove to reduce the friction of opening and closing and extend the life of the seal ‌. ‌Corrosion resistance ‌: ‌The valve body and sleeve can be made of stainless steel (such as 304/316), duplex steel or lined with polytetrafluoroethylene, suitable for acid, alkali and particle-containing media ‌. ‌Operation convenience ‌: ‌Low torque design (reduced by more than 40% compared to traditional plug valves), supporting fast opening and closing and remote control ‌.
