API pressure-balanced plug valve Description

 

The core design of the API pressure-balanced plug valve lies in its unique pressure-balancing structure. Traditional plug valves require overcoming the lateral thrust of the medium on the valve core under high-pressure conditions, resulting in increased operating torque. In contrast, the pressure-balanced design achieves symmetric pressure distribution by incorporating balancing holes or chambers inside the valve core, which redirects the medium pressure to both sides of the valve core, significantly reducing rotational resistance. For example, during the opening process, the upstream medium flows into the rear chamber of the valve core through the balancing holes, counteracting the pressure difference at the front end and enabling smoother operation.
