Resilient Knife Gate Valve

‌Resilient knife gate valve is a specific type of knife gate valve, which is characterized by the design of the gate disc that can produce slight deformation, thereby improving the sealing performance in the process. The gate disc of this valve can be integrally rigid or elastic, and the elastic gate disc can produce slight deformation as needed to improve its processability and compensate for the deviation of the sealing surface angle during the processing. The elastic knife gate valve is particularly suitable for difficult-to-control fluids such as slurries, powders and particles, and fibers.

Core Design‌:

The elastic knife gate valve combines the cutting function of the knife gate valve with the elastic sealing technology. Its gate is wrapped with elastic materials (such as EPDM rubber) or designed as a metal structure that can be slightly deformed. The deformation compensates for the angle deviation of the sealing surface and improves the sealing reliability.
The bottom of the knife-type gate has a blade-shaped bevel cut, which can cut impurities such as fibers and particles. It is suitable for working conditions with high viscosity or solid media.

‌Sealing Mechanism‌:
‌Elastic sealing‌: The gate and the valve seat are sealed in two directions through elastic materials such as rubber or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), which supports low leakage (ANSI B16.104 Class VI standard).
‌Forced sealing design‌: Some models need to rely on external force (such as a drive device) to press the gate and the valve seat to ensure sealing under high pressure conditions.
