Lever-Operated Knife Gate Valve is a knife-shaped gate valve driven by a lever mechanism, designed for the cut-off control of media containing particles, slurry or fibers.
Structural features
Lever drive mechanism
A mechanical lever arm is used to replace the traditional handwheel or gearbox, and the gate is directly driven up and down by manual pressure or counterweight assistance.
Advantages: No exposed screw to avoid thread rust and jam; emergency cut-off speed is more than 3 times faster than the rotary type.
Knife gate design
Bevel blade or V-shaped cut: Can cut fibers and solid particles (such as pulp, slag) to prevent medium jamming.
Sealing mechanism:
Single-sided sealing: Only the bottom of the gate is pressed and sealed with the wedge groove of the valve seat (applicable to one-way media).
Double-sided sealing: The gate has double sealing surfaces on the upper and lower sides, suitable for bidirectional flow or high pressure difference conditions.
Valve body and flow channel
Short structural length: The valve body is compact, 20%-30% shorter than the gate valve of the same diameter, reducing the pipeline load.
Straight-through flow channel: When fully open, the flow resistance is close to that of a straight pipe, preventing slurry deposition.
