Lug Type Butterfly Valve

‌Lug-type butterfly valve‌ is a butterfly valve fixed to the pipeline by lug connection. Its core structure includes:

‌Drive mode‌: supports manual, worm gear, pneumatic, and electric control, and is suitable for different working conditions.
‌Connection form‌:
‌Flange connection‌: Suitable for medium and high pressure pipelines (≤10MPa), with strong stability.
‌Wafer connection‌: Fixed between two pipeline flanges by stud bolts, easy to install.
‌Valve body and seal‌:
The valve plate adopts double eccentric or triple eccentric structure to reduce the opening and closing torque and improve the sealing performance.
The sealing surface can be selected as soft seal (PTFE/rubber) or hard seal (hard alloy/ceramic), suitable for different media.

What are the differences from ordinary butterfly valves?

Structural design:
Lug type: built-in insulation layer to prevent deformation of low-temperature fluids; ordinary butterfly valves have no insulation function.
Valve plate material: The lug type adopts a composite structure (alloy steel + stainless steel), while ordinary butterfly valves are mostly made of a single material.
Performance:
Sealing: The lug type has a lower leakage pressure (up to 0.01MPa), while ordinary butterfly valves have weaker sealing.
Installation restrictions: The lug type only supports horizontal installation, while ordinary butterfly valves can be installed horizontally/vertically.
Maintenance cost: The lug type requires a longer maintenance cycle due to its complex structure, while ordinary butterfly valves are easier to maintain.
