Api 609 Triple Offset Butterfly Valve Description
API 609 triple eccentric butterfly valve is an industrial valve designed based on the triple eccentric structure.
Core structure and design
Triple eccentric principle
The valve stem axis deviates from the center of the butterfly plate and the center of the valve body, and the valve seat rotation axis forms an inclined angle with the valve body channel axis, achieving friction-free opening and closing and zero leakage.
The sealing surface adopts an oblique cone structure. When closed, the butterfly plate and the valve seat only contact in the final position, reducing wear and extending life.
Sealing technology
Multi-layer composite seal: The butterfly plate seal ring can be selected from metal stacking (such as 304/316+graphite) or soft materials (PTFE/PPL), taking into account high-temperature rigid compensation and elastic sealing.
Fire safety design: The all-metal structure still maintains sealing integrity during fire, meeting industrial fire protection standards.
Design standards and specifications
API 609 compliance: covers design, structure length, flange connection and leakage test requirements, suitable for Class 150~600 (PN10~PN100) pressure levels.
Structural length: Follows API 609 Category B or ISO 5752 standards, suitable for wafer, lug and double flange connections.
Test standards: Sealing performance test is carried out according to API 598, and the leakage level meets ANSI B16.104 Class VI (zero leakage).
