Pneumatic Flanged Ball Valve

Pneumatic flange ball valve is a valve that drives the ball to rotate by a pneumatic actuator to open and close the medium. It uses flange connection to ensure sealing and pressure bearing capacity, has both fast response and high reliability, and is widely used in industrial automation control systems such as petroleum, chemical industry, and energy.

Core structure and working principle
Composition modules:

Valve body: integral or split structure, mainly made of 304/316L stainless steel, and forged steel is used in some high-pressure scenarios.
Ball and seal: The ball through hole is fully open when aligned with the pipe, and fully closed when vertical; the sealing surface uses PTFE (soft seal) or metal hard seal (such as Stellite alloy).
Pneumatic actuator: gear rack type (AT/AW series) or fork type drive, output torque 10~5000 N·m, suitable for DN15~DN1200 caliber.

Workflow‌:

‌Drive mode‌: Compressed air (0.4~0.7 MPa) switches the air path through the solenoid valve, pushes the actuator piston to move, and drives the valve stem to rotate 90°‌.
‌Sealing mechanism‌: The spring-preloaded valve seat contacts the ball, and the leakage level can reach ANSI VI level (hard seal) or ≤10 ppm (soft seal)‌.

Key functions:

Fast cut-off: Response time 0.5~5 seconds, suitable for emergency conditions (such as LNG tank leakage).
Flow regulation: V-shaped ball design supports linear flow control (electric positioner required).
Media compatibility: Tolerant to hazardous media such as water, steam, acids, natural gas and oxygen.

Applications:

Petrochemical: Remote cut-off and distribution of pipeline oil and natural gas.
Energy system: Steam flow regulation in thermal network (pressure resistance up to PN40, temperature ≤550℃).
Clean scene: Food-grade stainless steel polished valve body (Ra≤0.8 μm) is used for aseptic filling line of dairy products.
