Manual Ball Valves Description
Manual ball valve is a valve that opens and closes by manually rotating the valve stem to drive the ball. Its core function is to control the on-off or flow regulation of the medium in the pipeline. As the basic type of ball valve, it does not require an external power source and relies on manual operation of the handwheel or handle to complete the 90° rotation action. It is suitable for fluid control under medium and low pressure and normal temperature conditions.
Core structure and classification
Valve body and drive components:
Valve body material: commonly cast steel (WCB), stainless steel (304/316L) or cast iron (HT200), with a pressure resistance level of 1.6MPa~4.0MPa.
Drive mode: handwheel (small diameter) or handle (large diameter/high torque requirement), some models are equipped with worm gear mechanism to reduce operating torque.
Sealing form:
Soft seal: using polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or reinforced graphite seal ring, the leakage level reaches ANSI VI level, and the applicable temperature range is -20℃~150℃. Hard seal: Metal-to-metal seal (such as tungsten carbide coated ball + stainless steel valve seat), resistant to high temperature (≤300℃) and granular media. Connection method: Flange connection (DN15~DN300), threaded connection (DN15~DN50) or welding, to meet different pipeline requirements.
