High Pressure Electric Ball Valve

High-pressure electric ball valve is a high-pressure ball valve driven by an electric actuator. It can cut off, adjust or control the flow direction of high-pressure fluid by rotating the ball 90°. The pressure range is usually 16-500MPa. It is specially used in high-pressure scenes such as petroleum, chemical industry, and electric power.

High-pressure electric ball valves solve the problem of precise control of high-pressure, high-temperature and corrosive media through the coordinated design of stainless steel/duplex steel valve bodies, electric actuators and hard/soft sealing systems. Typical products such as Q41F-160P and Q941F-16P have been widely used in petrochemical, energy and other fields. Their fast response (≤0.05 seconds), remote control and long life significantly improve the safety and efficiency of industrial systems.

‌Main body design‌
‌Valve body and material‌: 304, 316L stainless steel or duplex steel (such as 2205/2507) forged valve body, pressure range 16-500MPa, suitable for high temperature (-196℃~550℃) and strong corrosive media (such as acid, alkali, hydrogen sulfide);
‌Drive system‌: integrated explosion-proof electric actuator (IP67 protection level), supports 0.05 seconds fast opening and closing, torque ≤50N·m, can be remotely controlled by PLC or DCS system;
‌Sealing technology‌:
‌Soft seal‌: PTFE or PPL valve seat, leakage level ANSI VI, suitable for clean fluids (such as water, steam);
‌Hard seal‌: Stellite 6 surfacing, resistant to particle wear and high temperature and high pressure (450℃/25MPa), suitable for complex media such as oil, gas, molten salt, etc.
‌Core functions‌
‌High-pressure cutoff‌: Full-diameter design (such as DN300) achieves zero pressure loss cutoff, with a pressure resistance of 500MPa, and is used in oil and gas wellheads and supercritical steam pipelines;
‌Intelligent regulation‌: V-shaped sphere with electric actuator, linear flow regulation accuracy of ±2%, reducing system energy consumption by 15%-20%;
‌Safety protection‌: Built-in anti-static device and fireproof structure to prevent flammable media from catching fire due to friction.

Petrochemical Energy
High-pressure oil and gas transportation: Q41F-160P ball valve is used to cut off sulfur-containing media, and the 316L valve body + hard seal combination has a pressure resistance of 25MPa;
Molten salt energy storage system: Adapt to 450℃/32MPa working conditions to achieve rapid switching of molten salt media.
Chemical process
Strong acid diversion control: PTFE seal + electric actuator accurately adjusts the flow of corrosive liquids, with a leakage rate of ≤0.01%.
Power system
Supercritical steam regulation: Duplex steel valve body withstands 550℃/42MPa, and is equipped with an electric actuator to achieve pressure closed-loop control.

 

Selection and operation and maintenance points
‌Selection basis‌
‌Medium matching‌: When the chloride ion concentration is greater than 50ppm, 316L or Hastelloy material should be selected; monel alloy valve body is preferred in hydrofluoric acid environment;
‌Pressure adaptation‌: Ultra-high pressure (≥100MPa) scenarios must use an integral forged valve body to avoid the risk of weld leakage;
‌Control requirements‌: For high-frequency adjustment (>100 times/day), servo electric actuators are preferred with an accuracy of 0.1%.
‌Installation and maintenance‌
Flange installation requires diagonal tightening of bolts with a pre-tightening force of ≤200N·m to prevent valve body deformation;
Check the wear of the sealing surface after every 5,000 openings and closings. It is recommended to perform helium mass spectrometry leak detection on hard seal valves every year.
