The opening and closing member of high pressure cryogenic ball valve is a ball, using the ball to rotate 90° around the axis of the valve stem to achieve the purpose of opening and closing. High-pressure cryogenic ball valve has a two-way seal, good sealing performance, low flow resistance, compact structure, easy to operate and so on. Pipeline is mainly used to cut off, distribution and change the direction of media flow, designed as a "V" shaped opening of the ball valve also has a good flow control function.
High-temperature low-temperature ball valves have double seats, the valve cavity will form a closed space when the valve is closed, in order to avoid high-temperature low-temperature ball valves overpressure in the valve cavity, the following two ways are usually used to achieve the function of the valve cavity pressure relief: ① in the ball on the way to open the pressure relief holes, the direction of the pressure relief in the opening of the pressure relief hole on the side of the pressure relief holes; ② through the design of the pressure relief valve seat to realize the pressure relief of the valve cavity, the direction of the relief valve can be the direction of the upstream seat, or the downstream seat direction. The direction of pressure relief can be either in the upstream seat direction or in the downstream seat direction. For cryogenic ball valves with pressure relief holes in the sphere, it is impossible to meet the requirements of two-way sealing, and can only realize one-way sealing, when the valve is closed, the pressure bearing (sealing) direction of the valve is opposite to the direction of the pressure relief, so cryogenic ball valves should be closed according to the direction of the pressure bearing direction to determine the direction of installation. In addition, the cryogenic ball valve has an extended bonnet structure with a drip disk.
