ASTM A350 trunnion ball valves Description

 

A350 trunnion ball valve is a special valve made based on ASTM A350 LF2 low-temperature forged steel valve body, with integrated trunnion fixed ball structure, designed for cryogenic media (-196℃) and high-pressure working conditions. Its core value lies in solving the safe cutoff requirements of ultra-low temperature fluids such as liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquid hydrogen.

Structural features
Cryogenic reinforced structure
Trunion support: The ball is rigidly fixed by a high-strength alloy trunnion, and there is no shrinkage deformation at a low temperature of -196℃, ensuring stable fit of the sealing surface;
Ultra-low temperature valve seat: Graphite reinforced PTFE or metal bellows seal is used, and the low-temperature shrinkage rate is less than 0.1%, which adapts to the thermal expansion and contraction of cryogenic media.
Safety redundancy design
Fireproof structure: The metal valve seat automatically seals after the soft seal is burned (in accordance with API 607);
Anti-static device: The spring between the ball and the valve stem conducts static electricity, and the resistance is less than 5Ω (ISO 5208 requirements).
‌Fully forged steel body‌
Forged according to ASTM A350 LF2, with dense grains and no defects, pressure resistance up to Class 2500 (PN420), and better impact toughness than cast steel.
