Pneumatic Wedge Gate Valves

Pneumatic wedge gate valve is a valve that opens and closes by driving a wedge-shaped gate plate through a pneumatic actuator. It consists of a valve body, a wedge-shaped gate plate, a valve stem, a pneumatic actuator (including a cylinder) and a sealing assembly. Its core feature is the combination of compressed air power and the forced seal of the wedge gate plate. It is suitable for fluid cutoff or regulation in automated control systems.

Testing requirements ‌of flange wedge gate valve

Performance test ‌
‌Strength test ‌: The valve body bears 1.5 times the nominal pressure and maintains pressure for 5 minutes without leakage or deformation ‌. ‌Seal test ‌: In the closed state, the inlet side is pressurized to 1.1 times the nominal pressure, and the leakage on the outlet side meets the API 598 or GB/T 13927 standard ‌. ‌Pneumatic actuator test ‌: Verify the opening and closing torque, response time and air pressure stability (usually 0.4~0.6MPa) ‌. ‌
Material and appearance inspection ‌
Chemical composition report and mechanical performance test data (such as tensile strength and hardness) are required for the valve body and gate material ‌. ‌The sealing surface has no scratches or pores, and the flange end surface flatness error is ≤0.05mm ‌. ‌
Functional verification ‌
Simulate the actual working conditions to open and close continuously for more than 500 times to confirm that there is no jamming or sealing failure ‌.
