LCB Cryogenic Gate Valve is a gate valve specifically designed for cryogenic environments, where the closure element (gate) moves perpendicular to the fluid flow direction, allowing only full-open or full-closed operation-not for throttling or flow regulation. It is suitable for cryogenic media such as methane, liquefied natural gas (LNG), ethylene, liquid carbon dioxide, liquid ammonia, liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, and liquid hydrogen.
Key Design Features:
Extended Bonnet (Long Neck Structure) – Facilitates insulation to maintain the temperature at the bottom of the stuffing box above 0°C, preventing freezing.
Pressure Relief Holes – Installed on the inlet side of the gate to prevent abnormal pressure buildup in the valve cavity.
Cryogenic Impact Testing – Valve materials undergo low-temperature impact testing to ensure they remain ductile and avoid brittle fracture under cryogenic conditions.
Deep Cryogenic Treatment – For valves operating below -101°C, components undergo deep cryogenic treatment before final machining to enhance material stability.
