Bellow Sealed Gate Valve

Bellows gate valve is a device used for fully opening and fully closing.

The opening and closing part of the bellows gate valve is a plug-shaped valve disc, the sealing surface is flat or conical, and the valve disc moves linearly along the center line of the fluid. The movement form of the valve stem includes the lifting rod type (the valve stem rises and falls, the handwheel does not rise and fall), and the lifting and rotating rod type (the handwheel and the valve stem rotate and rise together, and the nut is set on the valve body). The corrugated pipe stop valve is only suitable for fully opening and fully closing, and adjustment and throttling are not allowed. This type of valve should generally be installed horizontally in pipelines.

The handwheel and handle-operated corrugated pipe stop valve can be installed at any position in the pipeline.

Handwheels, handles and vibrating mechanisms are not allowed to be used for lifting.

The flow direction of the medium should be consistent with the direction of the arrow shown on the valve body.

Bellows gate valve, also called stop valve, is the most widely used valve. The reason why it is so popular is that the friction between the sealing surfaces during the opening and closing process is small, it is relatively durable, the opening height is not large, and it is easy to manufacture. It is easy to maintain and is suitable not only for medium and low voltages, but also for high voltages. Its closing principle is to rely on the valve rod pressure to make the valve disc sealing surface and the valve seat sealing surface closely fit to prevent the flow of media.

Bellows gate valves only allow one-way flow of media and are directional when installed. Its structural length is larger than that of the gate valve, and the fluid resistance is large. During long-term operation, the sealing reliability is not strong.

Bellows gate valves are divided into three categories: straight-through, right-angle and DC inclined globe valves.

When the bellows gate valve is opened, when the opening height of the valve disc is 25% to 30% of the nominal diameter, the flow rate has reached the maximum, indicating that the valve has reached the fully open position. Therefore, the fully open position of the stop valve should be determined by the stroke of the valve disc.
