Disc check valve is a valve that automatically opens and closes the valve disc depending on the flow of the medium itself to prevent the medium from flowing back. It belongs to the automatic valve category and is also called a check valve, one-way valve, non-return valve or isolation valve. The disc of the disc check valve is disc-shaped and can rotate around the axis or move vertically to achieve the function of opening and closing.

Disc check valve is a type of swing check valve. Its core feature is that it uses a disc-shaped valve disc as the opening and closing part, and realizes one-way flow control by rotating around the rotating shaft of the valve seat channel. This valve is designed for medium and large diameter, low flow rate and stable flow state pipelines, especially for scenes with high risk of medium backflow.
Classification dimensions:

By the number of valve discs: single disc (conventional diameter), double disc (DN≤600), multi-disc (DN>600), multi-disc design can disperse the closing impact force;
By sealing form: metal hard seal (resistant to high temperature and high pressure), elastic soft seal (adaptable to corrosive media).

Valve body: mostly made of cast steel, stainless steel or alloy, suitable for pipe diameters from DN15 to DN3200;Disc disc: made of metal or composite material, with rubber/PTFE surface covering to enhance sealing;Shaft mechanism: supports the rotation of the disc, and requires regular lubrication to reduce wear (some designs integrate self-lubricating bearings);Sealing surface: streamlined channel design to reduce medium flow resistance (flow resistance coefficient ≤ 0.3).
Working principle
Forward flow: The medium pressure pushes the disc to rotate around the shaft to open. The larger the flow, the larger the opening angle (up to 90°);Reverse backflow: The disc closes quickly under the action of gravity, medium reverse thrust and spring assistance (optional) to block backflow
