Large Butterfly Valve

Butterfly valve has a simple structure, not easy to produce thermal deformation, light weight, occupy a small space position, resistance is relatively small, open and close quickly, open and close the power is small, good sealing, long life and so on, so it has been widely used, especially in the low-pressure large-diameter valves in the application of the increasing.

• The sealing principle of the valve is to act on the sealing surface with a certain sealing pressure, butterfly valve is no exception. Butterfly valve sealing in general there are three forms:

(1) by the amount of surplus to produce specific pressure pressure.

(2) by direct pressure or torque will seal vice pressure, such as double eccentric butterfly valve, triple eccentric butterfly valve, sealing ring inflatable liquid.

(3) rely on Poisson effect to use the medium to press on the sealing ring. The greater the upstream and downstream pressure difference, the easier to seal. Sometimes also use the elbow effect of the elastomer, the elastomer middle section is thinner than the outer diameter or inner diameter, when the pressure is acting, the structure allows the valve seat outer diameter deflection and make the contact surface sealing.

• Classification of butterfly valve

Butterfly valves can be classified according to a variety of methods, for example, butterfly valves can be divided into truncation type and regulating type according to the use and function; according to the structure form, it can be divided into centerline, single eccentric, double eccentric and triple eccentric butterfly valves; according to the sealing material, it can be divided into rubber sealing butterfly valves, PTFE sealing butterfly valves and metal sealing butterfly valves.
