Cast Iron Lugged Butterfly Valves Description
Cast iron lug butterfly valve is made of gray cast iron (HT200/HT250) or ductile iron (QT450-10) and is installed through a lug flange connection. The butterfly plate rotates 90° around the valve axis to achieve medium opening and closing or flow regulation.
The core structural features include:
Lug design: Bolt holes are symmetrically distributed on both sides of the valve body, which is directly connected to the pipeline flange, avoiding the cumbersome bolt penetration of the wafer-type butterfly valve, improving installation efficiency and sealing stability.
Sealing system:
Soft seal type: EPDM/NBR rubber valve seat, leakage level reaches ANSI VI, suitable for low-pressure media such as water and air.
Hard seal type: Butterfly plate is welded with stainless steel or tungsten carbide, with a temperature resistance of 425℃, suitable for high-temperature media containing particles.
