‌Pneumatic Flanged Ball Valve‌ is a valve powered by a pneumatic actuator, featuring flanges integrated into both ends of the valve body. It connects precisely to pipeline flanges via bolts and uses compressed air to drive the ball's rotation by 90 degrees, achieving automated shut-off or connection of the pipeline medium.

A pneumatic flanged ball valve is a ball valve equipped with a pneumatic actuator. The actuator operates relatively quickly and does not require manual labor, thereby saving significant manpower and time. Pneumatic flanged ball valves have evolved from gate valves. They share the same 90-degree rotation operation, but the plug body is a sphere with a circular bore or passage through its axis. The ratio of the spherical surface to the port should be such that when the ball rotates 90 degrees, the entire spherical surface is exposed at the inlet and outlet, thus completely cutting off the flow.

‌Pneumatic Flanged Ball Valve Working Principle‌

 

Opening Process:
Compressed air enters the cylinder through an electromagnetic valve, pushing the piston to move and rotate the ball 90°, aligning the bore with the pipeline for medium flow.

Closing Process:
Compressed air enters the cylinder in reverse, causing the piston to reset and rotate the ball 90° to close the bore, blocking the medium flow.

Modulating Function (Optional):
When equipped with a positioner, the ball opening can be precisely controlled by an input signal (e.g., 4-20mA) to achieve flow regulation.
