Hard-Sealed Floating Ball Valve is a type of ball valve that employs a metal-to-metal sealing structure, where the sealing pair is composed of metallic materials (such as stainless steel, hard alloys, tungsten carbide, etc.). This contrasts sharply with soft-seal ball valves, which use non-metallic sealing materials like rubber, PTFE, etc.
Working Principle of Hard-Sealed Floating Ball Valve:
A hard-seal ball valve operates by rotating the ball 90° around the valve body's central axis to open or close the flow.
Open Position: When the ball's passage aligns with the pipeline, the medium flows freely.
Closed Position: When the ball rotates to a perpendicular position, the metal seat tightly contacts the ball's surface, ensuring a zero-leakage shutoff.
Due to its metal-to-metal sealing structure, this valve is especially suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure media in industrial piping systems.
