Wafer check valves are installed in the narrow space between two flanges. These simple check valves have no controls and are slender in shape, like a disc. When the material flows in a predetermined direction, the valve seat holds a disc, and the disc lifts from the valve seat. When material flows in the opposite direction, the disc automatically resets to stop the flow and prevent further backflow of material.

- Advantages of Wafer Swing Check Valve
The wafer style valve body is compact and minimizes pipe support. This series of wafer check valves is 2 to 3 times lighter than traditional full body check valves.
To meet special applications and service conditions, these valves are available in a variety of different options such as silicone-free purge, oxygen purge, vertical service, left-hand operation, lever, counterweight and cushioning.
For media containing fibrous or corrosive materials, these valves are available with an external spring that removes the spring from the flow path. This avoids the possibility of chemical attack on the fiber-wound spring or spring.
Field-replaceable O-ring seats are available in a variety of styles and sizes for minimal maintenance.
