Butterfly plate of the butt-welded butterfly valve is installed in the pipeline's diameter direction. In the cylindrical channel of the butterfly valve body, the disc-shaped butterfly plate rotates around its axis, with an angle of rotation between 0° and 90°. When rotated to 90°, the valve is in a fully open state. A valve with a metal seal generally has a longer lifespan than one with an elastic seal, but achieving complete sealing is more challenging. Metal seals can withstand higher operating temperatures, while elastic seals have the limitation of temperature sensitivity.
