Orbit Ball Valve Description
Orbital ball valve is a kind of valve that opens and closes by rotating the ball and moving up and down with the valve stem, the ball has an internal orbital structure, the ball first detaches from the valve seat and then rotates during operation to avoid friction on the sealing surface, which is suitable for the severe working conditions of high temperature and high pressure, particulate-containing or corrosive media.
Structural components
Ball: the core opening and closing parts, the surface of mirror polishing, the internal track structure to achieve frictionless rotation.
Valve body: the main structure, using high-strength corrosion-resistant materials (such as carbon steel, stainless steel), to ensure overall stability and sealing.
Stem: connects the actuator with the ball, and drives the ball to lift and rotate through the spiral groove or angular plane.
Sealing device:
Wedge seal structure: the stem applies mechanical force to press the ball to the seat, the sealing performance is not affected by the pressure difference.
Seat: metal or polymer material (such as PTFE) can be used, part of the design embedded spring to enhance the sealing adaptability.
Auxiliary components: limiters, anti-static devices, self-cleaning runners and so on.
