BS 5351 Air Actuated pneumatic ball valve operates by using compressed air to rotate the ball within the valve body, enabling pipeline opening or closing. When the ball's passage aligns with the valve inlet/outlet, the valve opens, allowing fluid flow. When the ball rotates 90 degrees to a position perpendicular to the inlet/outlet, the valve closes, blocking fluid passage.
Working Principle
The pneumatic actuator consists of a cylinder, piston, valve, and control components, with the cylinder being the core element. Upon receiving control signals, the actuator converts compressed air energy into mechanical kinetic energy, driving the valve stem and connected ball to rotate.
