Cast Steel Swing Check Valves Description

 

Cast steel swing check valve adopts a cast steel valve body and a swing valve disc design, which is specially used for one-way flow control of high-temperature, high-pressure and corrosive medium pipelines. The valve disc is opened and closed by the medium's own pressure, which can quickly block the reverse flow and protect the safety of the pipeline system.

Core structure and design features

Valve body and material:
The valve body adopts WCB, WC6 or chrome-molybdenum steel castings, with a pressure rating of Class 1500 (25 MPa) and an applicable temperature range of -29℃~+550℃.
The swing valve disc is connected to the pin shaft through a rocker, with an opening angle of about 70°~85°, a low flow resistance coefficient (≤0.05), and a flow capacity increased by 25% compared with the lift check valve.

‌Sealing design‌:
The valve seat sealing surface is welded with ‌cobalt-based hard alloy (such as Stellite alloy), which is wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant, and the sealing level reaches ‌zero leakage‌ (in compliance with ASME B16.34)‌.
Some models are equipped with ‌spring-assisted reset mechanism‌, which can shorten the closing time to ‌0.5 seconds‌ and reduce the water hammer effect‌.
